Social Study - A14

In your opinion, what would be just compensation for Japanese Canadians interned during the war?

In early 1942, the Japanese Canadian who lived in Canada had been forced to went to the internment camps and could not stay with their family, their all belongings had been expropriated by Canadian government. It’s because they are enemy aliens. “In 1988, the government apologized for its actions and agreed to give $21000 to the people who still living who had affected by the unequal policy.” The compensation made by Canada is good for respecting to the victims and survivors, because it’s really hard to let many people agree with the same ideas that to compensate the accident that happened before unfair , and the apology is the best way to compensate for the JapaneseCanadians and their family.
